Why in L.A. does a child of color life matter less, than a child that's white? Note the recent shooting of an Hispanic man and child. What are your thoughts. Leave your comments below.

I'm on the East Coast so we don't hear much of anything of the West unless it is Ultra tragic or Celebrity based. Very narrow focus, it doesn't allow for an informed America. Your questions sure are thought provoking! Which, I think, is your point.
Anyway, glad you stopped by my blog and found Kermit to be funny. I don't usually have serious discussion on my blog. Every time I turn on the news - negatives of all kinds are in my face. I try to have a balance because Heaven knows, the media certainly doesn't provide it. So, light hearted fluff and stuff is usually found on my blog -books mostly.
Thanks for stopping by!

Flamseeker, Thank you for the compliant Kevin James is hysterical I loved him in Hitch. Did you see that? I only listen to and dance to HOUSE MUSIC!!!

The fact that you did'nt hear about it just illustrate my point that people of color are treated differently here. If that man and child had been white it would have been outrage!!

Hi. Thank you for your comment. I like your site a lot and you echo a lot of my thought processes. Had to turn the music down though! I must admit that whilst the race issue exists here in the UK, I think I am safer being a black person in England than I am in the US. In the US there is a frightening gap between the haves and the have nots, which means you can be poor as hell whilst watching people being extortionately rich. I am very fortunate that I have been treated very well whilst being in the US but I think a lot of it had to do with being from the UK, and being black with an English/Irish accent. I never thought that I shouldn't fit in or be treated well, but maybe I would have if I had been brought up in your country. The race issue seems to be built into life in the US and I don't think it will ever change.

Pak-wo Shum, yes this is the 21 century! That's why we need to be aware of what's happening around the world! I'm not as aware of what's happening in other countries as I should be. But I'm making an effort. I will continue to drop by your site, you do the same

Nml, your a very wise person! What I'm trying in my own little way is to change the way people think about race in the US so hopefully my grand kid's grand kids will have a better life
