The kind that you could fight with and five minutes later be best friends again? I actually do have a couple like that still. I consider myself very lucky because of it too.

Maybe because we had time, and because we hadn't yet learned to question the motives of someone who just wanted to share a moment ...
It's harder when your older to find friends like the ones you made as a child because you didn't have high expectations of your young friends and could easily accept them for all their flaws.
As you get older, you are more judgemental of people due to what you are tought in your home!
That's where it all starts, your parents and siblings!!!
Tony, are you struggling with finding true friends at your age?
I think you need to search deep within your soul and find how you treat others that walk into your life now!
Are you welcoming? Are you kind? Are you sincere? Are you hospitable? Are you entertaining? Are you giving? Are you open minded? Are you judgemental? Do you think you're better then others? Do you accept people for who they are and not what they can do for you? Are you a receiver or a giver? These are the kind of questions you need to ask yourself before you "Think" of finding "Good Friends"!
They say you attract who you are and if you are lucky enough to be sharing your life with a companion that is very wonderful, then your companion is attracting "Good Friends", and you are hiding behind the demons that cloud your life???? Something to think about

vdofan, thanks for sharing!! I have about 6 to 10 childhood friends that I can count on, the rest are dead or in jail, what's important to me is keeping those relationships alive!! Yeah, I will try to update more often.

anomyous, I wish you would leave a name, so I could contact you. Very insightful stuff, but I know me very well, and you should pick and choose who you want to spend your free time with, but I get what your saying.
Why do you want me to leave my name? Like that's going to make a difference in your reply? Come on now, who are we kidding! Are you married or aren't you? Inquiring minds want to know! Be true to yourself, "You know who you are very well", and "You should pick and chose your friends". Your words, not mine. The real question is why isn't anyone picking YOU!!!
Well, Anonymous, I just like for people to use their names it's just a little quirk of mine. No it does not make a difference on how I will answer you. It just lets me know that you're not afraid to show me who you are.
I am always true to myself, can't help it! I have plenty of people picking me for friends, quality people, and I like that.

Tony I do think you are having trouble making friends, it's ok little guy. I do detect some frustration and a threatening tone, maybe that is why you are home alone typing on this site and not giving quality time to your man...oops, I mean woman. Lets be honest you are using this site to meet 'friends' that you can reach out and touch.
